What do we mean by 100% natural?

Many cosmetics on the market present themselves as natural, just because a few drops of plant extracts or oils have been added. However, they may contain many ingredients that are not natural or body friendly.

Cherlyn Skincare products are formulated with only natural ingredients from Mother Nature, which come from, or are made from, renewable resources found in nature such as flora, fauna, and minerals. They contain absolutely no petroleum compounds.

We follow these stringent product guidelines for Cherlyn's 100% Natural Skin Care:

1. Ingredients: Cherlyn Skincare only uses raw materials obtained or made from plants and minerals.
2. Animal Testing: No animal testing may be performed or commissioned when products are manufactured, developed or tested. Cherlyn Skincare is registered with the Leaping Bunny program administered by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC), which is committed to cruelty-free and animal-friendly products (see leapingbunny.org).
3. Fragrances: Only essential oils are permitted. Synthetic fragrances and chemically modified natural fragrances are prohibited.
4. Surfactants: They must be biodegradable.
5. Preservation System: We do not allow the use of any parabens or formaldehyde donors. Only natural preservatives are used: benzoic acid; salicylic acid; sorbic acid; benzyl alcohol; glucose oxidase; and lactoperoxidase.
